Dorothy L. Woosley,
88 of Murphysboro died at 11:15 pm Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Murphysboro.
Dorothy was born in Central City, KY. July 2, 1919 a daughter to the late
Robert L. & Florence J. (Pace) McWhirter. She married Reason Woosley in
Murphysboro on October 15, 1934; Reason preceded her in death October 21,
1994. Dorothy was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro
and was a retired supervisor of House Keeping at St. Joseph Memorial
Hospital in Murphysboro after 21 years of service. Funeral services will
be at 11 am Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Elm Street Baptist Church in
Murphysboro, with Pastor Charles Allen of the Elm St. Baptist Church
officiating, burial will follow at Murdale Gardens of Memory near
Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am on Friday, July 20, 2007
at the Elm Street Baptist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Crawshaw
Funeral Home in Murphysboro. Survivors include three daughters and two son
in laws; Barbara Haring of Herrin, IL., Donna Kay and (Rus) Snider of
Punta Gorda, FL., and Kathy and (Mike) Maclin of Murphysboro, three sons
and two daughter in laws, Frank Woosley of Port Charlotte, FL., Jack and
(Jean) Woosley of Rock Falls, IL., and Bob and (Debbie) Woosley of
Murphysboro, 17 grand children; Pam Habban, Jim Shaw, Gayle Onal, Korby
Marusich, Bill Woosley, Bobby Woosley, Kim Tarr, Jackie Woosley, Johnna
Woosley, Jennifer Woosley, Terrie Alexander, Rusty Snider, Dereck Snider,
Misty Butler, Bill Woosley, Brent Woosley, and Ryan Maclin, 37 great
grandchildren and 11 great great grand children. In addition to her
parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; Bill Woosley,
one grandson; Tony Snider, one daughter in law; Dixie Woosley, and four
brothers and 2 sisters. Memorials may be made to The Elm Street Baptist
Church and will be accepted at the church or the funeral home. |
