Lucille E. Waltz, 94 of Murphysboro died at 11:11 am Thursday, June 26, 2008 in Murphysboro. Lucille was born in Murphysboro April 18, 1914 a daughter to the late Albert and Ida Mae (Kessel) Comte. She was first married to Herbert Dougan he preceded her in death in March of 1978, she later married John Waltz on April 26, 1980, John survives of Murphysboro. Lucille was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro and was a member of the American Legion Paul Stout Post 127 Auxiliary, the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Herrin Elks Lodge #1146 Auxiliary. Funeral services will be at 11am Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Rev. Shaker Samuel of the First Baptist Church will officiate, burial will follow at Tower Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Rehab & Care Center of Jackson County activity fund and will be accepted at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband John Waltz of Murphysboro, one daughter and son in law; Linda and Michael Stadler of Murphysboro, one son and daughter in law; Herb and Shirley Dougan of Murphysboro, one step-son Robert Waltz of Brighton, MI., two grandchildren; Kelly Dougan of Murphysboro and Cristie and Kris Ogolini of St. Peters, MO., two step-grandchildren; John and Ginnie Waltz of Brighton, MI. In addition to her parents and first husband she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Fulmer and Dorothy Levenson.
