Wilma Lee Lackey, 85 of Murphysboro, died at
3:18 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Murphysboro. Mrs. Lackey was born
June 2, 1924 in Murphysboro, a daughter to the late Frank and Verna Lee
(Rendleman) Rushing. She married Charles A. Lackey in Murphysboro on May
15, 1961 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2007. She was employed
by the former Brown Shoe Company. Survivors include two cousins and a host
of friends. Mrs. Lackey was preceded in death by her husband, parents,
three sisters, Dorothy Summers, Mable Rushing and infant sister, Kathleen
Rushing and by two brothers, James and Arthur Rushing
Services will be Monday, June 22, 2009 at
11:00 a.m. at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Shaker Samuel
officiating. Burial will follow at Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 9:00 a.m. to the hour of services at Crawshaw Funeral Home. Memorials
may be made to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home
