Elkville - Eldon "Ugh"
Snider, 79 of Elkville, IL. formerly of Granite
City, died at 7:27 pm on Monday, March 7, 2006 in DuQuoin, IL.
Eldon was born in Alton, IL. September 14, 1926 a son of the late Basil
and
Bearnice (Dillion) Snider.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date with burial at
Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Belleville, IL. Memorials may be made to the
Perry County Humane Society. Eldon was a Protestant, a U.S. Navy Veteran
of WWII and was a member of the Am vets Post 51 and the V.F.W. Post 1300
both in Granite City, IL. He was a tool & dye maker for McDonald Douglas
Aircraft in St. Louis, MO for 43 years. He was married to Olene Bearden;
she preceded him in death in 1990. Survivors include one daughter; Paula
Turnbough of Elkville, IL., one brother and sister in law; Ken and Betty
Snider of Pontoon Beach, IL., one sister in law; Delores Snider of New
Douglas, IL., In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one
brother. Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, IL. is in charge of
arrangements. |
