Michael G. Smart, 56 of DeSoto, died January 16, 2012.
He was born June 24, 1955 in Belvidere, Illinois to the late Dale L.
Smart and Patricia A. (Rydbon) Smart. He was a graduate of Carbondale
High School and was employed at Southern Illinois University.
There will be a gathering of Michael's family and friends from 11am to
1pm on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church 700 South
University in Carbondale. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to
the Elverado High School Library or to the donor's choice and will be
accepted at Crawshaw Funeral Home 1421 Walnut St. Murphysboro, IL.
Michael is survived by his mother Pat Smart of Eugene, OR, one brother
and sister-in-law; Terry and Heather Smart of Bozeman, MT, and a special
friend Beth Dallas and her sons John, Logan and Craig.
