The fashionable and always elegant Wanda Lee
Shoberg, 97 of Albuquerque, NM formerly of Murphysboro passed away Friday,
September 14, 2007 at La Vida Llena Life Care Community in Albuquerque.
Wanda was born with a zest for life, the only child of Edgar and Effie (DeBoard)
Flota August 21, 1910 in Norris City, IL. Wanda was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro and was a homemaker. She married
Theodore C. Shoberg August 2, 1933 in Norris City, IL. Ted preceded her in
death November 23, 1978. Funeral services will be at 11 am Thursday, Sept.
20, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro Rev. Kerry Bean
will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am at the church on
Thursday. Burial and graveside committal will be at 1:30 pm on Thursday at
the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Norris City, IL. Wanda had a special closeness
to her nieces; Meg Gandy of Albuquerque and Kerstin Dorgan of Austin, TX.
and her four nephews; Richard and Marilyn Shoberg of Austin, TX., James
Shoberg and Pam Dailey of Albuquerque, Eric and Taylor Shoberg of Tucson,
AZ and Stephen and Karla Shoberg of Seattle, WA., and several great-nieces
and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded
in death by one son Richard Lee Shoberg in infancy. |
