- Berna Lee Ruble, 84 of Murphysboro died
at 2:50 pm Thursday, March 12, 2009 in Murphysboro. Berna was born in
Vergennes January 3, 1915 a daughter to the late Clark Roosevelt and
Louise (Sherman) McCleland. She married Theodore Ruble in Murphysboro
October 11, 1947; Theodore preceded her in death April 15, 1996. She was
a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murphysboro and was a
homemaker. Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2009 at
Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Stewart Davis
officiating. Burial will be in Birkner Cemetery in rural Vergennes.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of services Monday at the
funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Birkner Cemetery Care Fund.
- Survivors include two daughters; Anita
(Matt) Pate, of Murphysboro and Charlotte (Louie) Tellor of Pomona, two
sons; Dale (Sheri) Ruble of Carbondale and Tim (Kim) Ruble of
Murphysboro, 13 Grandchildren; Amanda (Benjamin) Willig, Holly (Dan)
Ryder, Tim, Ted, and Trevor Pate, Jennifer (Tom) Mattingly, Karen
(Dennis) Bowring, David (Renae) Tellor, Patricia Tellor, and Cory,
Jesse, Noah, and Jay Ruble, and 13 Great Grandchildren. In addition to
her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one sister;
Eva Mae Demster.
