Mr. William Harold Rogers 70 yrs of 2029 Roblee Murphysboro,
Died 1:32 P.M. Saturday May 7th at his home in Murphysboro after an extended Illness. He was born in Jackson County, Illinois on January 30, 1935 the son of the late William Allen Rogers and Mary (Franklin) Rogers. He married Alma Marie Wortham in Gorham, Illinois on October 23, 1955. She survives. Mr. Rogers was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower, Illinois. He retired in 1997 as a Maintenance Man for the Jackson County Housing Authority after 32 ½ years of service. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 11th at the Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Carl Dillow officiating. Burial will be in Murdale Gardens of Memory. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the Crawshaw Funeral Home. Survivors include: His Wife, Alma Marie Wortham Rogers of Murphysboro. Daughters; Gloria and her husband Kenny Roach of Murphysboro. Kathy Satterwhite of Murphysboro. Lisa and her husband Joseph Rayborn of Murphysboro. Sons: William Paul Rogers of Murphysboro. Orville Wayne and his wife Teresa Rogers of Murphysboro and Marvin Harold Rogers of Metropolis, Illinois. One Sister; Mrs. Rachael Ellet of Mascoutah, Ill, Two Brothers; Carl Dean Rogers and his wife Pat of Ava, Illinois. Charles Rogers and his wife Karen of Ava, Illinois. Four Grand Daughters; Sarah Rogers, Rachael Satterwhite, Holleigh Rogers, Clara Rayborn. Seven Grand Sons; Orville Wayne Rogers Jr. William Ardell Rogers, John Satterwhite II. Andrew Rogers, Hank Bridgeman, Wade Bridgeman and Joseph Rayborn II. One Grand Son, Scott Roach preceded him in death. Several Nieces and Nephews, Brother in Law; Elmer Lee Wortham of Gorham, Ill. Sister in Law; Jennie Fay Hamilton of Cahokia, Ill. Sister in Law and Spouse; Alice and Harold McRoy of Murphysboro.
