Ruby L. Robinson, 80 of rural Murphysboro
died at 10:30 am on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at home. Ruby was born in
rural Murphysboro on July 25, 1925 the daughter of the late Edgar F. and
Mariah K. (Bower) Johnson. She married Henry Robinson in Murphysboro on
June 18, 1960; Henry preceded her in death on May 1, 1970. Ruby was a
member of Fairview Christian Church, a disabled homemaker and a loving
mother; she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral
services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Crawshaw
Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Andy Cunningham minister at Fairview
Christian Church officiating, burial will follow at Fairview Christian
Cemetery, visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 am until the hour of
services at the funeral home. Survivors include; three daughters; Bonnie
Johnson of Murphysboro, Lois Clover of Gorham, Brenda Murray of Elkville,
one son; Henry Robinson of Tahlequah, OK., 19 grandchildren, and 19 great
grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in
death by two sisters; Helen Pierson, and Beulah Johnson, three brothers;
Barney Lloyd, Joe Johnson, and John Foster, one step-daughter; Betty
Irwin, and three grandchildren. Memorials are encouraged and may be made
to the family or to Hospice of Southern Illinois in Ruby's name and will
be accepted at the funeral home.
