- Una Lee Potter, 86 of Union City,
TN.,
formerly of Murphysboro, died Friday, September 7, 2007 in Union City,
TN. Una was born in Union County, IL., February 6, 1921 a daughter to
the late Ira and Maggie (Clutts) Modglin. She married Inman Dale Potter
on February 2, 1941 in Perryville, MO., Dale preceded her in death on
November 16, 1998. She was a member of the First Christian Church in
Murphysboro, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; she had worked at
the former Lustor Corp. in Murphysboro and was a homemaker.
- Graveside services will be at 11 am on
Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro,
with Rev. David Hunt of the First Christian Church officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 am on Monday at Crawshaw Funeral
Home in Murphysboro. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the
First Christian Church in Murphysboro.
- Survivors include one sister in law;
Claudean Grammer of Carbondale, one brother in law and spouse; Forrest
and Naomi Potter of Murphysboro, several nieces and nephews including
LaDonna Stearns of Fulton, KY., several great nieces and nephews and
cousins. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in
death by one son; Barry Dale Potter on January 24, 1955.
