Murphysboro - Jane A. Polsgrove, 82 of
Murphysboro died at 10:15 am, on
Monday, August 15, 2005 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Jane was born
in Kuttawa, Kentucky on February 5, 1923 the daughter of the late Will and
Ethel (Holmes) Helton. She married William J. Polsgrove in Osceola,
Arkansas on September 8, 1939 William preceded her in death on October 24,
1963. Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro, she
was a homemaker and had also worked at Selmer Peerless Linen service in
Carbondale she retired in 1983 after 14 years of service. Funeral
services
will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Crawshaw Funeral
Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Richard Kinnamon of the First Baptist Church
in Murphysboro officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am on Thursday
at Crawshaw Funeral Home. Burial with graveside services will be held at
2:30 pm on Thursday at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Fulton
County, Kentucky. Survivors include two daughters and one son in law;
Lula
A. Polsgrove and Mary J. and Eugene Leady all of Murphysboro, two sisters;
Ethel Haycraft and Catherine Arant both of Paducah, Ky., several nieces
and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was
preceded in death by one infant son, three brothers and one sister.
Memorials are encouraged and may be made to St. Jude's Children's research
Hospital, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association,
and will be accepted at the funeral home.
