Mildred Marie Pittman, 98 of Murphysboro formerly of Gorham, died at 7:05am on Friday, February 3, 2012 Mildred Marie Pittmanin Murphysboro.  Mildred was born December 9, 1913 in Jackson County, IL., a daughter to the late Frank and Mattie (Sisk) Pierce.  Mildred was first married to Harmen Whitecotton, he preceded her in death.  She later married Jim Vanover, he preceded her in death.  She was later married to Fred Pittman; Fred also preceded her in death.   Mildred was a member of New Life Tabernacle in Murphysboro and was a homemaker.
Funeral Services will be at 11am on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastor Larry Dean Worthen will officiate, burial will follow at Crain Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Crawshaw Funeral Home.  Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the New Life Tabernacle Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Carl E. and Patsy Whitecotton of Peoria, IL.,  one sister; Darline Fann of Murphysboro, four grandchildren; Carolyn Barth, Douglas (Debbie) Whitecotton, Carl Wayne (Beth) Whitecotton, and Gary Whitecotton and his friend Richard Decker, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
