Since 1931

  Carl R. Moss, age 69, of Murphysboro, formerly of Tamaroa, went to spend Christmas with his mother in heaven at 9:59 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Mr. Moss was born April 23, 1942 in Tamaroa to Emery Moss and Maxine (Clampet) Rohlfs.  He was united in marriage to Pam Clover in Caruthersville, Mo. on March 4, 1986.
Mr. Moss was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a self employed logger and Union Stewart for laborers local 881.
Survivors include his wife, Pam of Murphysboro; six children, Carl R. Moss , Virginia M. Moss , both of Tamaroa, Keith A. Moss of Missouri, Angela D. Moss of Nashville, Tn., Janice M. Moss and Kevin E. Moss, both of Tamaroa; one stepson,
Billy Clover of Minonk, Il.;  three  brothers, Phil R. Moss (Debbi) of Mt. Vernon, IN., Johnnie Harris (Janis) of Elkville and Roger Harris of Tamaroa; three sisters, Jean Krug (Karl) of Pinckneyville,   Linda Garavaglia (Charles) of Herrin and Peggy Riva of Herrin; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro.  Cremation will follow.
Memorials may be made to the family.
