Pauline Milster 97 of Murphysboro
formerly of Grand Tower died at 5:15 am Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in
Carbondale. Pauline was born in November 29, 1910 in Grand Tower, IL., a
daughter to the late Joseph E. and Eva (Keith) Adams. She married Clarence
"Pee Wee" Milster on August 9, 1930 in Charleston, MO.; Clarence preceded
her in death March 10, 1972. Services will be at 11 am Saturday, March 8,
2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro, with Rev. Kerry Bean
officiating; burial will follow at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 am Saturday at the Church. Memorials
are encouraged and may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in
Murphysboro. Pauline was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in
Grand Tower and had attended First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro for
many years; she was a retired elementary school teacher having taught at
the Grand Tower Elementary School for many years. She was a member of the
Illinois Retired Teachers Assn., the Jackson County Retired Teachers
Assn., A.A.R.P. and had also been a member of the St. Joseph Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter and son in law; Judy &
Ron Burdick of Murphysboro, two grandchildren and their spouses; Mitch and
Corrie Burdick of Swansea, IL., and Lori & Rob DaCosse of Shiloh, IL., two
great grandchildren; Kelsey Hottes, and Eve DaCosse. Pauline's family also
wishes to thank Denise Hanson and all Pauline's caregivers for their
excellent care enabling her to remain living at home for the last few
years. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by
one daughter; Elizabeth Milster, one son; Jack H. Milster and one brother;
Edward Adams. |
