Murphysboro - Mabel K. Boulton, 87 of Murphysboro
died, at 9:05 am, Saturday, April 29, 2006 in Murphysboro. Mabel was born in Jacob, Il. April 6, 1919 a daughter of the late Ernst and Ella (Estel) Arbeiter. She married Glenn P. Boulton in Jacob, Il. October 5, 1940 he preceded her in death April 15, 1976. Mabel was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murphysboro and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murphysboro, the Rev. Theodore Mayes will officiate; burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 8 pm at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro and on Tuesday at the church from 9 am until the hour of services. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home or the church. Survivors include one son and daughter in law; Robert Boulton and Cathy Hines-Boulton of Murphysboro, one sister and brother in law; Fern and Edward Thies of New Athens, IL. one granddaughter and her husband; Amber and William M. Betts of Murphysboro, several nieces and nephews and many cousins also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother; Fremont Arbeiter. Mabel was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and cousin who will be greatly missed by all of her relatives and friends.
