Mary Eileen Davis, 64 of Murphysboro died at 7:05 am Monday, February 16, 2009 in Murphysboro. Eileen was born in St. Louis, MO. August 8, 1944 a daughter to the late William and Ina Mae (Johnson) Center. She was married to Billie Dean Davis, he preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro and was a Registered Nurse and had worked in several nursing homes in southern Illinois and the surrounding area, she was also a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in DuQuoin. Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday, February 20, 2009 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastor Ted Clark will officiate, burial will be at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Survivors include three sons and two daughter-in-law; Thomas and Jammie Queen of Sesser, IL., Andrew and Nellie Queen of San Diego, CA., and Mark Queen of Pownal, VT., one daughter Sarah Self of Marion, IL., one brother and sister-in-law; William and Michele Center of Murphysboro, twelve grandchildren; Tosha, Dustin, and Zachary Self, Amber Queen, Ariel Moore, Jeremy, Daniel, Mikayla, Amanda, Savannah, Caleb, and Aerial Queen, two great grandchildren; Cody Doolin and Vincent Moore. Memorials are encouraged may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
