Charles A. Lackey Jr., 80 of Murphysboro,
 died at 1:30 am Monday, March 5, 2007 in Murphysboro. Charles was born June 12, 1926 in Little Rock, AR., a son of the late Charles A. Sr. and Lela (Johnson) Lackey. He married Wilma Lee (Rushing) May 15, 1961 in Murphysboro she survives of Murphysboro. Charles was a U.S. Navy Veteran during WWII in the pacific theatre. He worked as a machinist for the former Brown Shoe Co. and then the Lustor Corp. both in Murphysboro. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Richard Kinnamon officiating. Burial will follow at Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 am until the hour of services at Crawshaw Funeral Home. In addition to his wife Wilma Lee survivors include, two sisters; Charlene Johnson of Benton, MO, Elsie Lackey of Sikeston, MO., two brothers; Bill Lackey of Zanesville, OH., and Carl lackey of Florida, and one sister in law Dorothy Summers of Murphysboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
