Robert R. Kranz, 71 of Murphysboro died
at 10:10pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in
Cape Girardeau, MO. Bob was born on January 5, 1940 in Steeleville, IL. a
son to the late Rudolph Henry and Olga Marie (Weaver) Kranz. He was united
in marriage to Jane Morgan on December 4, 1976 at St. Andrew's Catholic
Church in Murphysboro, Jane survives of Murphysboro. Bob was a retired
store manager for the Kroger Grocery Company and had managed several
Kroger stores in the southern Illinois area. Funeral services will be at
1pm on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro.
Burial will be in Murdale Gardens of Memory near Murphysboro. Visitation
will be from 10am until 1pm on Friday at Crawshaw Funeral Home. Memorials
are encouraged and may be made to the American Parkinson Disease
Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. Survivors include
his wife; Jane Kranz of Murphysboro, two daughters and one son-in-law;
Sharon and Ted Reuscher of Ava, IL. and Sarah Kranz and her finance' Brad
Norman of Anna, IL., one son and daughter-in-law; J.R. and Ashley Kranz of
Ava, two grandsons; Alex and Matt Reuscher and two granddaughters; Rayna
and Jayda Kranz, his mother-in-law; Bernice Morgan of Murphysboro, three
sisters-in-law and their husbands; Kathi and Dave Sullivan, Pat and Bobby
Bower, Mary and Gary Strothmann, one brother-in-law and his wife; Don and
Sherry Morgan, sister-in-law Lola Harty, aunt; Ann Pautler and many
nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and other dear and close
friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his
father-in-law; Robert Morgan, two brothers-in-law; Bobby Morgan and Mike
Harty. Bob was an avid race car and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He
was a loving husband, father and best friend to many.
