Helen Huff, 88 of Murphysboro,
died 5:45 am on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Rehab and Care Center
of Jackson County in Murphysboro. Helen was born in Murphysboro on March
31, 1917 the daughter of the late Otho and Daisy (Woodside) Silvey. She
married Jack Huff; he preceded her in death August 5, 1979. Helen was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro, and worked at the
former Jackson County Nursing Home in the dietary dept. Funeral services
will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 12, 2005 at Crawshaw Funeral
Home in Murphysboro, the Rev. Jeff Gordon of the First Baptist Church will
officiate; burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in
Murphysboro. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10 am
until the hour of services. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to
the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro, and will be accepted at the
funeral home. Survivors include one sister; Othella Finger of Murphysboro,
two nieces; Sylvia (John) Hunziker Carvell, of Murphysboro, and Marcia
(Peter) Westra of Pagosa Springs, Co., one great niece; Loraine Hunziker
and her husband Kevin Boucher of Murphysboro, two great nephews; Scott and
his wife Traci Hunziker and Philip and his wife Tina Hunziker all of
Murphysboro, two great great nieces; Brittany Hunziker and Hannah Brooks,
two great great nephews; David Brooks and Jonathan Hunziker. She was
preceded in death by one sister; Ruth Silvey
