Madge L. House, 86 of Murphysboro, passed away at 7:05 am Sunday,
December 10, 2006 at the Rehab & Care Center of Jackson County in
Murphysboro. Madge was born February 25, 1920 in Pomona, IL. a daughter to
the late Clarence and Hallie (Lewis) Ellis. Madge married Robert Adams in
1938; he preceded her in death in 1948. She married Lloyd O. House in
1958; he preceded her in death in 1984. Madge was a lifetime member of the
First Baptist Church in Murphysboro; she loved gardening and yard work
after years of devotion to her family. She worked at the former Lustor
Corp. in Murphysboro, Rural Electric coop., and was then employed by the
Carbondale Clinic from where she retired after seventeen years of service.
She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Richard and Sue Adams of
Murphysboro; three daughters and two son in laws, Brenda and Jim Lipetska
of Spring, TX., Kathy and Larry Shudra of Cypress, TX., and Jean House
Koch of Rockwall, TX. Eight grandchildren, Christine Lay and husband Pat
of Parker, CO., Jill Heishman and husband Scott of Sand Rock, AL., Debbie
Ragsdale and husband Steve of Rockwall, TX., Matthew Lipetska and wife
Gwen of New Orleans, LA., Jason Lepetska and wife Dawn of Lubbock, TX.,
April Lipetska of Houston, TX., Joshua and Daniel Shudra of Cypress, TX.,
and thirteen great grandchildren also survive. In addition to parents she
was preceded in death by three brothers; Wayne, Verne and Carlos Ellis and
an infant daughter. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December
15, 2006 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro. Rev. Bob McCrory of the
First Baptist Church in Murphysboro will officiate. Burial will follow at
Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 to the hour of
services at the funeral home. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to
the Elder-Wise Senior Day Care in Carbondale, the First Baptist Church, or
the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. |
