Virginia C. Haskins, 90 of Murphysboro, died at 5:23am on Monday, September 19, 2011 in Carbondale.  Virginia was born in Alto Pass, IL., on August 14, 1921 a daughter to the late Harrison H. and Ethel L. (Dillow) King.  She was united in marriage to Earl Haskins on June 15, 1940 in Jackson, MO., Earl preceded her in death on June 30, 1992. She was a Baptist and had been employed as a seamstress at the former Cal-Crest Outer-Wear in Murphysboro and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Anna, IL. and the American Legion Auxiliary in DuQuoin, IL.
Graveside services will be at 2pm on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Murdale Gardens of Memory near Murphysboro. Those attending services are asked to gather at the cemetery, there will be no visitation.
Survivors include one daughter; Helen Y. Davis of Murphysboro, one son; Berry Haskins of Dongola, IL., and one grandson; Cory Haskins of Lowell, Mass.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, one grandson; Jason Daniel Haskins and her son-in-law; Philip Davis. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the Murphysboro Food Pantry.
