Helen K. Brantley, 87 of Murphysboro died at 11:07 am Friday, July 23, 2010 in Murphysboro. Helen was born in Murphysboro March 2, 1923 a daughter to the late Charles Grafton and Myrtle Elnora (Wagner) Jarrett. She was united in marriage to Clifford "Buster" Brantley in Murphysboro on August 16, 1947; Buster preceded her in death February 26, 1978. Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Rev. Shaker Samuel of the First Baptist Church will officiate, burial will be at Murdale Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association or to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law; Marsha and Ernest Pancsofar of Columbia, CT., Kathie Grob, and Barbara and Dana Troutman of Murphysboro, two sons and one daughter-in-law; Edgar and Debbie Brantley of Murphysboro and Thomas Brantley of Murphysboro, nine grandchildren; Nadya Pancsofar and husband Randy Schmidt, Natyra Pancsofar, Jay Snyder, Scott (Brandy) Grob, Kip (Jami) Grob, Rachel Houchins Garrison, Amber Brantley, Terra Troutman, and Tanner Troutman, twelve great grandchildren, one sister; Esther Lipe of Murphysboro, and one brother-in-law John McKinney of Madison, IN. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother; Robert Swaar, four sisters; Norma Brantley, Betty McKinney, Ethel Giffin, and Lillian Carrothers and one son-in-law; Butch Grob.
