Gregory Scott Hanson, 58 of Murphysboro died at 3:30pm on Thursday, May
12, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Gregory was born on June 29,
1952 in Robinson, IL. a son to Harry Don and Lois E. (Elliott) Hanson. He
was united in marriage to Paula LeForge on April, 27, 1984 in Murphysboro,
Paula survives of Murphysboro. Gregory was a Methodist and was employed as
a Process Control Technician at Spartan Light Metals in Sparta, IL. he had
also been a member of the Boy Scouts of American and was an Eagle Scout.
Funeral services will be at 7pm on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Crawshaw
Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastor Peggy Camp will officiate. Visitation
will be from 4 to 7 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are
encouraged and may be made to the American Heart Assn. or to the Crimson
Express Band at Murphysboro High School; memorial contribution will be
accepted at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife; Paula Hanson on
Murphysboro, his mother; Lois Hanson of Robinson, four daughters;
Cassandra Hanson of Delta, MO., Rebekka Nicole Hanson of Murphysboro,
Casey Jo Hanson of Murphysboro, and Kari Elizabeth Hanson and her finance'
Aaron Ice of Murphysboro, one son; Derek Scott Hanson of Wolf Lake, IL.,
one granddaughter; Harley Nichole Tillison, two brothers and one
sister-in-law; Michael Don and Denise Hanson of Anna, IL., and Jeffrey L.
Hanson of Robinson, IL., several nieces and nephews also survive. He was
preceded in death by his father Harry Don Hanson.
