Janice R. Fluegel 48 of Murphysboro
 died at 3:05 pm Saturday July 1, 2006 in Carbondale after a yearlong battle with brain cancer. Janice was born in Somerset Township, Jackson County, November 5, 1957 a daughter of William and Thelma (Wisley) Herring they survive of Murphysboro. She married Scott Fluegel in Murphysboro on October 3, 1992 he survives of Murphysboro. Janice was a member of Pate Chapel Baptist in Murphysboro. She was a purchasing agent at Curwood in Murphysboro for over 20 years. She also was a secretary in the printing department at SIUC. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday July 5, 2006 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastor James Easton will officiate; burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday July 4, 2006 at Crawshaw Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home. In addition to her parents and husband survivors include a daughter Sara Fluegel at home, brother and sister in law Ray and Teresa Herring of Murphysboro, Sister and brother in law Beverly and Rob Rendleman of Vergennes, Mother in law Carole Fluegel of Cedar Rapids IA, brother in law and spouse Jeff and Christina Fluegel of Janesville WI. Three nieces Jessica Herring of Murphysboro, Jenna Rendleman of Vergennes, and Ashley Fluegel of Janesville WI, Two nephews Lucas Rendleman of Vergennes and Stephen Herring of Murphysboro. She was preceded in death by her father in law Norm Fluegel.
