Ruth M. Fite 81 of Pinckneyville,
formerly of Murphysboro
died at 4:15 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in
St.
Louis, MO. Ruth was born in Jackson County, Illinois, near Murphysboro
on
June 23, 1924 a daughter of the late Frank Joseph Mileur Sr. and Edith
(Cluster) Mileur. She was first married to Harold Koenig, he preceded her
in death in January of 1985, she later married John H. Fite in October
1986
in Pinckneyville, he survives of Pinckneyville. Ruth was a Member of the
Pinckneyville United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Women of
the
Moose Lodge in Murphysboro, the V.F.W. Post 7190 auxiliary and the
American
Legion Paul Stout Post 127 auxiliary both of Murphysboro. She had worked
at the former Brown Shoe Co. in Murphysboro for over 20 years, and was a
homemaker.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at
Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with the Rev. Jim Barnett of the
Pinckneyville United Methodist Church officiating, burial will follow at
Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5
to 8 pm, Friday, Feb. 24, 2006 at Crawshaw Funeral Home. Memorials may be
made to the Pinckneyville United Methodist or to the donor's choice and
will be accepted at the funeral home.
In addition to her husband John of Pinckneyville, survivors include; one
daughter and son in law; Pam and Deon Harrison of Murphysboro, one step
daughter and son in law; Mary Jo and Charles Griffin of Carbondale, one
Grand son and his wife Dr. Brian and Christina Harrison of Herrin, Il. two
brothers and one sister in law; Joe and Betty Mileur and Max Mileur all of
Murphysboro. Twin great grand children; Delaney and Aidan Harrison of
Herrin, two brothers in laws; Shirl Koenig of St. Angeles, TX and Don
Koenig of Tampa, FL. one sister in law; Charlotte Mileur of Murphysboro,
three step grand children, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded
her parents, her first husband, five sisters; Loretta Mileur, Sue Rushing,
Billie Koenig, Alma Shindler and Oma Rendleman, and one brother, Frank J.
Mileur Jr.
