Harlen Noel Doerr, 79 of Vergennes
died at 5:30 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at home. Harlen was born near
Elkville, IL. November 21, 1927 a son to the late Clyde and Ida (Easterling)
Doerr. He married Ramona Wisely in Vergennes, March 7, 1947 she survives
of Vergennes. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, October 6, 2007
at the First Baptist Church in Elkville, IL. with Pastor Darryl Williams
officiating. Entombment will follow at Murdale Gardens of Memory in
Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, October 5, 2007
at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, visitation will also be from 9am
until the hour of services at the church on Saturday. Memorials are
encouraged and may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children and will
be accepted at the funeral home and the Church. Harlen was a coal miner
for 48 years, he was also a farmer and raised Angus Cattle, He was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Elkville, a Sixty year member of the
U.M.W.A., a Fifty year member of both the A.F.& A.M. Desoto Lodge, and the
Jackson County Shrine Club, he was also a member of the Eastern Star and
the Murphysboro Elks Lodge. In addition to his wife Ramona he is survived
by two Daughters and one son in law; Veronica Favier, and Frances and Paul
Cochran, one Son and Daughter in law; Gordon and Vicki Doerr all of
Vergennes, Five Grandchildren; Angela (Greg) Pavloff, Darren (Wendy) Doerr,
Jason (Amy) Doerr, Jennifer (Brian) Soldat, and Jami Jo Cochran and Jamie
Perryman. Eight Great Grandchildren; Arika and Kolton Pavloff, Jenna and
Abigail Noelle Doerr, Taylor Franklin, Connor, Logan and Brady Doerr, and
Jaden Rose Perryman, One sister and brother in law Ruth and James Tindall
of Murphysboro, three brothers and sister in law; Bill and Betty Doerr of
Carbondale, Ray and Imogene Doerr of Vergennes, and Max and Sarah Doerr of
Murphysboro. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews and friends.
In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by one Grand Son;
Kenneth Favier. |
