Dale L. Dillow, 78, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo..

Mr. Dillow was born October 13, 1932 in Carbondale a son to the late Herman C. and Maude E. (Gunn) Dillow.  Mr. Dillow was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Tower but attended the Pentecostal Church in McClure in recent years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Dillow was retired from sales and also operated his own lawn care service.  He was very proud to have worked as a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center for approximately fifteen years.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Keith of St. Louis, Mo. and Wilma Tate of Memphis, Tn. and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Walter Dillow and Herman Dillow, Jr.;  two sisters, Faye Anderson and Lillian Fisher; and one niece, Marilyn Hart.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating.  Interment will be in Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower, Il. with military rites by American Legion Post 127 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7190, both in Carbondale and Jackson County Disabled American Veterans Chapter 69.  Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
