Eva Mae Demster, 79, of Memphis, TN formerly of Murphysboro
 passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 surrounded by her family at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis. Eva Mae was born August 1, 1927 in Vergennes, Il. a daughter of the late Clark and Louise (Sherman) McCleland. She was a graduate of Murphysboro Township High School in 1945 and Alton Memorial School of Nursing in 1948. Mrs. Demster was a member of and a Sunday school teacher at Millington First Baptist Church. She was married to Philip Judson Demster, LCDR retired USN on October 29, 1948. She is survived by her husband, Philip J. Demster of Memphis, TN, two daughters; Cheryl Sanders of Memphis, and Sandra Fransioli of Rossville, TN, two sons; David Demster of Memphis, Randal Demster of Frisco, TX, one sister, Bernalee Ruble of Murphysboro, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and 16 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, Feb.1 with a Funeral Service Friday at 10:30 am Feb 2 at the Millington First Baptist Church in Millington, TN. Visitation will then be held at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro on Friday Feb. 2 from 6 to 9 pm followed by Funeral services at 1 pm on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Rev. Gilbert Gee will officiate, burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the Millington First Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
