Corrine L. Streuter, 75 of Murphysboro died at
7:27pm Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Murphysboro. Corrine was born July 6, 1934
in Plum Hill Township in Washington County, Illinois a daughter to the
late Erwin and Edna M. (Schmidt) Fricke. Corrine was united in marriage to
Robert G. Streuter on October 15, 1955 in Okawville, IL. Robert preceded
her in death on March 19, 2008. Corrine was a member of the Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Murphysboro. She had formerly also taught Sunday school
and was a member of the choir at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in
Okawville. Corrine had also worked at the former Green's IGA grocery store
in Murphysboro for 18 years. Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday,
June 11, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rev. Theodore Mayes of the
Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate; burial will follow at the
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to
8 pm Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro and
on Friday from 9am until the hour of services at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the American Cancer Society,
the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the National Kidney Foundation all will
be accepted at the funeral home and church. Survivors include; three sons
and three daughters- in- law; Jeff and Becky Streuter of Murphysboro, Phil
and Cami Streuter of Elmhurst, IL., and John and Tammy Streuter of
Carterville, Il. one daughter and son in law; Cynthia and Len Novara of
Murphysboro., 12 grandchildren; Luke and Mathew Ray, Ely and Sara Streuter,
Allison, Amy Jo, and Tyler Streuter, Bethany, Austin and Aaron Streuter,
and Andrew and Emily Novara, one sister and brother-in-law; Alva and Bob
Schroeder, of Mackinaw, IL., and one brother and sister-in-law; Roland and
LuAnn Fricke of Belleville, IL., two sisters-in-law; Lorene Frederking of
Altamont, IL., and Joan (Edward) Bohbrink of Jenks, OK., two
brothers-in-law; Leonard Streuter of Okawville, and Walter (Martha)
Streuter Jr. of Collinsville, IL., and many nieces, nephews and cousins
also survive. Corrine's family also wants to give a special thanks to her
caregivers Paula Wheeler and Julia Harper. In addition to her parents and
husband she was also preceded in death by one infant sister; Loretta
Fricke. |
