Charles A .Mileur, 77 of Murphysboro,
died at 3:37 am, Thursday, May 24, 2007 in Murphysboro. Charles was born in Murphysboro January 11, 1930 a son to the late Charles A. & Zelma (Fox) Mileur. He married Margie L. Siefert in DuQuoin, IL. June 5, 1955 Margie survives of Murphysboro. Charles was a Baptist, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean era. He owned and operated Kilby's BBQ Restaurant in Murphysboro from 1978 to 1998 retiring after 20 years. He was also a lifetime member of Murphysboro V.F.W. Post 7190 and a 55 year member of Murphysboro American Legion Paul Stout Post 127; he was a big Saluki sports fan and a long time Cubs Baseball fan. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastor Charles Allen of the Elm Street Baptist Church will officiate, burial with military rites by American Legion Post 127 in Murphysboro V.F.W. Post's 7190 Murphysboro and 2606 Carbondale and the Jackson County Disabled American Veterans Chapter 69 will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro; Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the funeral Home. Survivors include his wife Margie of Murphysboro, a daughter and son in law; Gail & Brian Crowell of Murphysboro, three son's; Ron Mileur of Murphysboro, Gary Mileur of New Baden, IL. and Michael Mileur and his girlfriend Sheila Schubert of Murphysboro, one sister and brother in law Barbara and Jim Shields of Murphysboro, six grand children; Daniel Mileur, Molly Mileur, Blake Crowell, Cody Mileur, Megan Mileur and William Mileur. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two aunts; Irene Gillooly and Elizabeth Breninger. Memorials may be made to the Elm Street Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
