Pauline Evelyn Buford, 91, of Murphysboro
died at 8:53 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2005, at St. Joseph Memorial
Hospital in Murphysboro. Pauline was born on March 20, 1914 in Jackson
County, IL. near Ava, a daughter of the late William C. and Ida May
(Williamson) Pierson. She married William Lawson Buford in Murphysboro on
June 1,1932, he preceded her in death on October 4, 1959. Pauline was a
member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro; she was a
homemaker and had worked at the former Lustor Corp. in Murphysboro for 18
years. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at
Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with Pastor Charles Allen of the Elm
Street Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Pleasant Grove
Memorial Park in Murphysboro. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30 am
until the hour of services at the funeral home. Survivors include two
daughters and son on laws; Martha E. & Ron Wheeler, and Christina &
Chauncey Wilson all of Murphysboro, five grand children; DeWayne (Mariann)
Crowell, Brian (Gail) Crowell, Stephanie Cole, Leandra (Russell) Bryant,
Steven (Lisa) Wheeler, thirteen great grand children; April, Adam, and
Heather Crowell, Daniel McRoberts, Blake Crowell, Jacob Lewis, Hannah and
Sara Cole, Lucas and Holly Bryant and Erin, Rachel and Evan Wheeler. In
addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one
daughter Helen Merritt on Feb. 6, 1998, two brothers and four sisters.
