Lula Belle Boulden, 69 of London, Ky. Formerly of
Vergennes,
died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, AR.
Lula Belle was born in Vergennes March 24, 1937 to the late Robert and
Alice (Robinson) Parrish. She married David Boulden in 1954; he survives
of London, KY. She was a wonderful wife, a great mother a fantastic
homemaker and loved to travel. Funeral Services will be at 11 am Saturday,
July 1, 2006 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Vergennes, IL. the
Rev. John Adams of the Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Parrish Cemetery near Vergennes. Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 pm Friday June 30, 2006 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in
Murphysboro and from 9 to 11 am Saturday at the church. In addition to her
husband David, survivors include one son and daughter in law; Jeffrey
Layne and Lisa Boulden of Elizabethtown, KY., One daughter and son in law;
Michele and Barry Barnhart of Oklahoma City, OK., she was preceded in
death by one son; David Mark Boulden. Other survivors include; Seven
Grandchildren; Leslie, Thomas Mark, and Brad Boulden, David Adam, Kyley
and Courtney Boulden and Matthew Scott Sozzi, four brothers; Thomas
Parrish of Carbondale, Ira (Lucille) Parrish of Carbondale, Wiley (Iona)
Parrish of Murphysboro, and Paul (Viola) Parrish of Carbondale, four
sisters; Irene Shewmaker of Vergennes, Mary (Dale) Furgason of Peoria,
AZ., Sarah (Max) Doerr of Murphysboro and Sharon (Richard) Maynor of
Elkville, one brother in law; Glenn Davis of DuQuoin. One sister; Dorothy
Davis preceded her in death. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.
Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the Wesley United Methodist
Church in Vergennes and will be accepted at the funeral home and church.
