June K. Borgsmiller beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, 83 of Murphysboro died at 4:45 pm Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Indianapolis, IN. June was born in Wetmore, MI., June 10, 1925 a daughter to the late James Willis and Hanna (Ekeblad) Knox. She married Dr. William J. Borgsmiller in Chicago, IL., December 21, 1946; Dr. Bill preceded her in death August 4, 1999. June was a Registered Nurse and had been Director of Nursing at the former Jackson County Nursing Home now known as the Rehab & Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro and had been a Cadet Nurse in the U.S. Air Force. Funeral Services will be at 11 am, Monday, June 16, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro, Rev. Kerry Bean will officiate. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, and from 9 to 11 am on Monday at the First Presbyterian Church. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, the American Legion or to the Humane Society. Survivors include two sons and one daughter in law; Dr. William Knox and Mary Borgsmiller of Red Bluff, CA., and Michael J. Borgsmiller of Oliver Springs, TN., three daughters and son in laws; Sandy and Hubie Kerns of Pacific Palisades, CA., Cherie and Karl Korbacher of Carmel, IN., and Judy and Dan Bost of Murphysboro, one brother; James W, Knox of Murphysboro and one sister; Marguerite K. Smith of Arlington Heights, IL., thirteen grandchildren; William Robert Borgsmiller, Kristin Borgsmiller, Zack Kerns, Kallie Kerns, Daniel William Korbacher, Karynne Korbacher, K.C. Korbacher, Kendra Korbacher, Wm. Kent Korbacher, Kristin Korbacher, Danielle Bost, Craig Bost and Caleb Bost. One great granddaughter; Taylor Lynn Borgsmiller, she is also survived by several sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews.
