Arnold R. Bellmann 95 formerly of Jacob
died Thursday September 14, 2006 in Murphysboro. Arnold was born July 4,
1911 in Altenburg, MO to the late John T. and Anna Maria (Mahnken)
Bellman. He married Norma Matilda Langwitz Miesner on June 8, 1957 in
Jacob Illinois; she preceded him in death on Feburary 4, 1972. Arnold was
a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob. In his younger years he was a
farmer and later a painter and carpenter in the Jacob area. Memorial
service will be held Saturday October 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ
Lutheran Church in Jacob. The family will receive friends from 12 noon
until the hour of services at the church. Burial will be private in Christ
Lutheran Cemetery in Gorham. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to
Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob and will be accepted at the church.
Survivors include 2 stepsons; Ray (Nelda) Miesner of Murphysboro, Forrest
(Brenda) Miesner of Ava, 1 stepdaughter Jane (Terry) Cottonaro of
Murphysboro. Three sisters; Ella Winter of Creve Coeur, MO., Euline (Ted)
Broeckling of Florissant, MO. and Alma Reichel of Green Valley, AZ. Five
step grand-daughters; Dawn (Drew) Anderson of Ottawa, IL, Leigh Ann
(Andrew) Hargreave of Shorewood, IL, Gretta (Cliff) Cairatti of Lebanon,
IL Shawn (John) Mckeon of Troy, IL and Carmen Murphy of Broomfield, CO.
Arnold is also survived by 10 step-great grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents and wife Arnold was preceded in death
by an infant step-son, Dale Miesner,3 sisters; Sarah and Agnes Bellman and
Luci Wehemeyer and 2 brothers; Harold and Walter Bellmann. |
