Doris Alley, 64 of Grand Tower departed this world and
went home to be with her heavenly savior at 2:49pm on Sunday, November 7,
2010 in Paducah, KY. Doris was born in Gorham, IL., on January 30, 1946 a
daughter to the late Charles Henry and Lennie (Seamon) Meade. Doris had
attended the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower and had been employed as
an in-home personal healthcare assistant and was a homemaker. Funeral
services will be at 11:30am on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 Crawshaw
Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Pastor Kent Eaton will officiate. Burial will
be at Goodbread Cemetery near Gorham. Visitation will be from 9:30 to
11:30am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the
American Heart Association or to the donor's choice and will be accepted
at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; June
and Keith Eaton of Paducah, KY., two sons; Tim Brown of Grand Tower, and
Mark Reeves of Pittsburgh, PA., one beloved sister and brother-in-law;
June and Raymond Taylor of Gorham, two brothers and three sisters-in-Law;
Marvin & Jeanne Meade of Gorham, and David & Linda Meade of Ava, IL., and
Wilma Meade of Gorham, six grandchildren; Brandy (Nick) McDowell,
Kristopher Eaton, Ben and Jesse Reeves and Elijah and Alec Brown, one
great- grandson; London McDowell, and a host of nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother; Robert
Meade and one infant brother.
