Agnes O. Siefert, 92 of Murphysboro died at 12:45 am Saturday June 7, 2008 in Murphysboro. Agnes was born January 28, 1916 in Hume, Missouri a daughter to the late Richard Burton and Ida Belle (Coureton) Webb. She married Louis Weldon Siefert March 8, 1936 in Colorado Springs, CO.; Louis preceded her in death April 9, 1981. She was a charter member of Berean Christian Church in Murphysboro and had worked as a seamstress at the former Cal-Crest Outerwear in Murphysboro.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Rev. Mark Wingo of the Berean Christian Church will officiate, burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the Berean Christian Church or to TIP Hospice.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law; Jim and Jane Siefert of Murphysboro, one daughter and son in law; Janice and Jack Nelson of Murphysboro, six grandchildren and their spouses; Jeff and Carol Nelson of Murphysboro, Tim and Mindy Nelson of Festus, MO., Terry and Lisa Nelson of Harlan, KY., Jimmie and Jodi Siefert of Carbondale, Chris and Wendy Siefert of Decatur, IL., and Darin and Candice Siefert of Festus, MO., 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. One sister; Esther Webb of Neosho, MO., and one sister in law; Eileen Vaskie of McNabb, IL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters
