Anna Ruth Davis, 92 of Bloomington, Indiana
formerly of Murphysboro, died Monday, September 27, 2010 in Bloomington,
IN. Ruth was born in Murphysboro, IL. October 14, 1917 a daughter to the
late Charles Kelly and Anna Mariah (Jacobs) McEntire. She was united in
marriage to Tom Danner in 1933, Tom preceded her in death in 1977, she was
later married to Paul Davis in 1979, Paul preceded her in death in 1995.
Ruth was a member of Christ Community Church in Murphysboro and was a
Licensed Practical Nurse, before her retirement she worked at a several
doctors offices in the Murphysboro and Carbondale area, she was the office
nurse Dr. Kraus in Carbondale for a number of years. Funeral services will
be at 10am on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in
Murphysboro, Dr. Philip Nordstrom of Christ Community Church will
officiate, burial will be at White County Memorial Gardens near Carmi,
graveside committal services will be at 2pm on Friday at the cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at
Crawshaw Funeral Home. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to Christ
Community Church and will be accepted at the funeral home. Survivors
include two daughters and one son-in-law; Carmen Danner of Jacksonville,
FL., and Carole and Kent Johns of Bloomington, IN., two sons and one
daughter-in-law; Thomas and Norma Danner of Cobden, IL., and William
Danner of Martinez, GA., one step-daughter and her spouse; Martha D. &
Charles Phillis of Atlanta, GA., one step-son and his spouse; Paul Thomas
and Barbara Davis of Bloomington, MN., and nine grandchildren, and several
great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands she was
preceded in death by one son; Gary Danner, and two brothers.
